I hope everyone enjoyed the 3 day weekend. The students did a great job coming back to school and remembering the routines we have set in place since the first week of school.
They started Daily 5 on Friday. They are doing a good job remembering that their voices need to be "off" unless they are reading quietly. Today there was a "buzz" in the room as they were all reading or writing. I am very proud of them!
Here are a few reminders:
- Snack- peanut free, quick simple snack to hold them over until they get home
- Birthday treats- store bought, no nuts
- Office Forms- please turn in all of your office paperwork that you received over the summer.
- Library is on Mondays (unless we are off on Monday we will switch it for that week)
- Counseling is on Tuesdays every 3rd week.
- Please take a look at the Scholastic order forms (due date is September 14th)
We used the clickers for the first time today. During math we talked about addition number stories. We used a flipchart with number story pictures and they used the clicker to give the answer (the sum). Ask your child about the clickers! Here are a few photos:
