Dylan's dad was a mystery reader last week. They really enjoyed his visit. The book he read is now part of our classroom library. Thank you!

Reminders

Hello Families,
We have some very important reminders for the month of February. Please take a look:

• Authors' Cafe' is Friday the 1st. 2:30-3:00pm in our classroom.
• Field trip is on February 4th (bring a home lunch and a drink that day- they will eat in the classroom after they get back from the field trip).
• Valentine's Day "Party letter" coming home today. There is not a school wide party for Valentine's Day this year. We will have a "mini" party at 2:30 pm on the 14th.

• Six Flags reading logs are due February 15th. Every child should turn in a reading log since they have been reading every week for their homework packet. Please make every effort to get this log filled out and help your child earn a free ticket to Six Flags.
• Early release day is February 13th.

Updates

Hello Families,
I just wanted to take some time to officially welcome Ms. Richardson to our classroom. She will be with us the rest of the school year as a teacher intern. You will start to see her take over some daily routines of our classroom,signing your child's planner, planning and teaching lessons, and typing updates on the classroom blog. We are excited to have her here and ready to help her learn too!

Friday is the 100th day of school. We will have many fun 100th day activities to do on Friday. The best activity will be eating ice cream sundaes. We have "scooped" our way to 100 all year with an ice cream theme, now we are ready to celebrate and eat sundaes.
If your child cannot have ice cream, please let me know asap!

We are looking forward to your visit on Feb 1st for our Authors' Cafe! Please RSVP as soon as you can, so we know how many people to plan for. Thanks so much! We appreciate your help.
