We had the pleasure of hearing Brad Bauer speak today at our Disability Awareness Assembly. We were all very moved by his story and his determination.

PBL:

Wow! The students are doing such a great job with our PBL unit on Winter Precipitation. They are so engaged and I can't wait to see where they take us next week with their learning!

                                          

Be sure to get connected to the See Saw app. It is an online journal of your child's work. An email was sent to you with details on how to get started. It is so easy and you get an email every time your child posts something to their journal! They LOVE it when you comment on their photo or video! 

  


Don't forget to have your child wear their red class shirt on Monday!

Early Release is Wednesday the 24th.

Free Family Bingo Night on the 26th. 

Please check your child's folder for a note about the Valentine's Day celebration. No school wide party or parent volunteer's are needed at this celebration.

Time For Kids- informational letter and booklets are coming home tonight! Please take some time tonight or tomorrow night to fill these out. Thank you in advance for your help!

Club pictures for the yearbook will be on Friday. Please be sure to send your child in their uniform if they belong to a Concord Club on Friday. These clubs include: Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Stem Scouts, Lego Robotics, Choir, Running Club, etc.

Check out what we are doing in January...

We have started a Project Based Learning theme on Winter Precipitation. The PBL unit is student driven and allows for the students to create their own learning. We will have PBL time a few times a week where they are researching about winter precipitation and creating ways to showcase their learning. During this time, they will be using skills that scientists, researchers, creators, writers and engineers use to inquire and gain new knowledge. 

Stay tuned for information about See Saw- it's like Facebook for kids and a way to see your child's classwork and comment about their videos and pictures. You will get an email with all of the information to get set up on See Saw.
