us have a wonderful Poetry Cafe'!

The students really enjoyed sharing their writing with you!They have worked so hard on their writing all year. The students will bring home all of the planning pages of their Box- Set Realistic Fiction on Friday. Be sure to ask them about the process of writing a realistic fiction series.

field trip tomorrow

Please have your child show their Concord Spirit tomorrow. We will proudly go on our field trip and show our leadership and pride for our school. 

The bus will leave at 9am tomorrow for the field trip. If you drop off your child, please make sure your child arrives on time tomorrow. 

 Please have your child wear Concord Spirit on Friday for our field trip. 

If you plan to attend the field trip on Friday, please write a note in your child's planner or send me an email. I want to make sure we look for you at Ronnies!

Pod Point Winners Voted for Device Day

Hello Families,
Our class will have a "bring your own device" day this Friday. They will get to use their device during a free choice time that they earned as a class. It is not a requirement that your child brings a device. We have computers and laptops here for them to use. They may also buddy up with another child who has a device. Your child is responsible for the device they bring into school. They will need to keep it in their backpack until we are ready to use it. The types of devices they can bring in are as follows:
Ipod
Ipod Touch
Iphone
DS
DSI
DS3
laptop
Leapster
Nook
Kindle
PsP
*Please make sure your child is bringing a device that they are familiar with and have used several times before.

Money, Money, Money

We spent the past 2 weeks learning about time. They will continue practicing telling time to the hour and half past during math centers. 

Today they started learning about money. They loved making their very own wallet! 

Dress Like a Super Hero on Friday

Our theme for Friday is Zap the Map! K-2  will support the older grades for MAP testing by providing buddy bags with fun testing supplies and cheering them on at the MAP kick off assembly on Friday the 10th. 

Concord Students are encouraged to dress like a super hero this Friday! Students can wear super hero attire ( home made costumes, store bought costumes) as long as they can focus on learning. They also need to wear something that they can manage when using the restroom and playing outside on the play ground.

Henry is in the spotlight this week. He would like everyone to wear grey on Wednesday. 

Teadora would like everyone to wear pink 

or blue on Thursday.

The First Graders are going on a Field Trip to see DisneyNature- Monkey Kingdom at Ronnies on April 24th. 

Showtime 9:15am ( leave school at 9am)

Parents can join us, but they pay at the door  ($6.75 per adult) and meet us at Ronnies.
