Ask your child about the story we read yesterday. We had "lead time" during our morning meeting and discussed this story and the importance of being proactive and telling the truth in a loving way! 

Six Flags Reading Logs

The Six Flags Reading logs are due the 23rd.

 Unfortunately I will not be able to accept reading logs turned in after the 23rd. Please keep in mind that your child has had several months to complete the reading log. They can use the same books for from the weekly homework packets. I sure hope that everyone will turn in their

Realistic Fiction

They created their pretend character today. They are very excited to write a realistic fiction story. 

We revisited a great story from the 7 Habits book last week! "Sammy squirrel" was feeling bored and wanted his family and friends to think of something fun for him to do! Sammy soon learned a very important lesson- he is the one in charge of his fun. We discussed habit number 1: Be Proactive- You are in charge!  I remind the students daily to take charge of their learning. Ask your child about the story and how they take charge of their learning at school.
