Mystery Reader

The class really enjoyed meeting Kerim's grandparents. They are from Ecuador and visiting for a few weeks. We are so happy that they were able to visit our classroom.

Buddy Brain Break Pictures

The students and teachers dressed like a PE teacher today for Cystic Fibrosis awareness. They took a Buddy Brain Break with their buddy class and exercised together.

 

Two reminders for this week!!

• Friday, March 15th ~ Donate a dollar for Cystic Fibrosis and dress like a P.E. teacher. All classes will meet with their Buddy Class and exercise for Cystic Fibrosis Awareness. Thank you in advance for your support! (Friday -11:40 Dismissal, no lunch at school on half days)

• The 1st Grade Musical BUGZ! is this Sunday, March 17th at 2:00 p.m. at the LHS Auditorium. Students should come dressed in costume and meet the teachers in the lobby at 1:45 p.m.

Mystery Reader

Dylan's mom was our Mystery Reader today! Thank you so much. They really enjoyed the book.

If your child has earned a grand slam this year, please send them wearing a baseball hat tomorrow! Our character assembly will be tomorrow afternoon.

Donuts with Dad- March 8th 7:45am-8:15am

You and your first/third grader are invited to enjoy a light breakfast and reading in your child’s classroom. After you arrive, please help yourselves to donuts and juice, and enjoy the time together reading.

It is very important for young children to see their parents as readers. Whether it is the newspaper, a magazine, or a great novel, children need to see and understand reading is a part of our everyday lives. These times shared will become important memories of enjoying books together.

If you are unable to attend, please feel free to send a grandfather, uncle, older brother, or another significant adult in your child’s life.
