Student Spotlight/ Reminders

Hello Families,
I have a few reminders for you. Please be sure to mark your calendar!

Tomorrow (3/30)- half day (dismissal is at 11:50am/ no lunch service)

4/2 We start the MAP schedule for the whole school. We will have block right away in the morning at 8:55am. We will follow this schedule for 3 weeks. Please make sure your child is here on time every day.

4/6 No School

4/17 PTG mtg @7pm

Slide Show of Writer's Workshop

They students have been working very hard on writing stories during Writer's Workshop. Here is a slide show of the students working on the "process" of writing during Writer's Workshop.
They are looking forward to the next Authors' Cafe' to share their books with you! Stay tuned for a save the date after spring break.

Reminders/ Spotlight from this week

Here are some very important reminders for this week:

• Scholastic Book orders due NO LATER than tomorrow (the 9th). I want to get the order placed so they get their books before Spring Break. There is a "Stink" book that we had read as a class in this catalog. They love all the "Stink" books. 
• Donuts with Dad is tomorrow morning 7:45am-8:15am. Come in with your child to the classroom and enjoy a donut and a few good books.
• First Grade Musical is Sunday: "Barnyard Moosical" --First Graders meet in the lobby at 1:45 in full costume. Show starts promptly at 2:00 p.m.

Updates for March

Can you believe it is March already?

The students are moving right along with their academics! I am so proud of each and every one of them. Way to go first graders!

Here are some dates/ events to mark on your calendar:

3-2    Concord Spirit Day
3-9    Donuts with dad (7:45am-8:15am)
3- 9   Scholastic Book Order Deadline (the plan is to get books before spring break)
3-11  First Grade Musical (be @ LHS by 1:45pm)
3-16  Early Release/ records day
3-19-3-23 Spring Break
3-29  Spring Conferences
